Welcome to the PMO Strategies Podcast + Blog, where PMO leaders become IMPACT Drivers!

PMI Talent Triangle: Power Skills (Leadership)
Hi, IMPACT Drivers!
I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Jennie Fowler over the last few years and I’ve been impressed by how she’s built and run a highly successful, highly IMPACT-ful Strategy Realization Office (SRO) for her company for over 7 years. The more I talk to her and hear her talk about their journey, the more I see the connections between what she’s been doing and the very things I learned as a PMO leader inside organizations for over 15 years. Jennie is sharing her journey of transitioning from a PMO to a Strategy Realization Office during the PMO IMPACT Summit and her session is one that you do not want to miss!
In today’s episode, we are exploring what’s next for PMOs and how you can make some critical shifts that will be necessary for tomorrow’s PMOs to be a key player in how organizations deliver on their strategy.
Check out this episode to learn:
- the unique characteristics of tomorrow’s PMOs
- reasons PMO failure rates are so high
- how to avoid being a PMO failure statistic
- if the SRO model is the right answer for your PMO
- the importance of uncovering your superpower
Thanks for taking the time to check out the podcast!
I welcome your feedback and insights!

A very interesting podcast. I couldn’t help laughing out loud on the notion of a Paperwork Management Office! in fact, as I reflected, I found that the PMO i have built for my current Customer tends to be exactly that; a Paperwork Management Office. This podcast comes at the right time as we are about to celebrate the 1st anniversary for the PMO. I see what is should be doing to change the focus and vision of the PMO so that we become Impact Drivers for the organisation. Know Your Brand. What do you want your PMO to be known for? Very important questions. Time to re-brand. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the comment Shaddy! Congrats on your anniversary and willingness to lead toward impactful change!
Loved the examples Jenny and Laura shared in the podcast interview. I laughed out loud many a times with witty examples and stories shared and had fun and quite a learning listening to you. Very much apt and tangible takeaways… 🙂
Thank you Rajat! Who says podcasts can’t be fun?!? 🙂 We appreciate you listening and are happy that you found the episode a learning experience. Cheers!
