  • It is important to acknowledge what is going on so you can earn people’s respect back.
  • Learn how to acknowledge the situation with your team and be open and transparent when you are trying to earn back respect. It will be challenging for some project managers to address the situation, failure to do something will highly likely bring about bigger problems.
  • Ask your team why the lack of respect and issues are occurring, being open and speaking in a group or individual environment may fix the situation and get buy-in.
  • Work on resolving these issues together as a group and focus on moving forward in an open and constructive way.
  • Being upfront with what is going on is important. Finding a resolution is key and issues do need to be addressed to maintain levels of respect.
  • Invest time in resolving issues and spend the time on communication and team management to ensure you get favourable results and getting your team back on side.
  • Try and work out a resolution that people agree with, address concerns and work together to find a more palliative solution moving forward.
